Gifts We'd Love----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Those great little gift certificate cards....
These little treasures have to be one of the greatest recent inventions around. They're more personal than cash, yet they give the recipient flexibility and choice. They are easy to transport, wrap, and they just feel like fun. Gift cards we'd enjoy include:

Restaurants: from Burger King to Applebee's to Outback and everything in between
Specialty stores: from Dunkin Donuts to Godiva to Harley Davidson to Home Depot to gas
General Merchandise: from Wal-mart to Target to Publix Grocery to Office Max to Brandsmart
Movie cards: Regal or Muvico theaters

For the Home------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We're a middle aged couple who's been sharing a home for five years. We have a lot, but there are a few things that need replacing or supplementing:

Bath Towels-We like the big "bath sheets" that are oversized in olive or lime green

Tastefully Simple --We eat at home 98% of the time and we love using their products. You can order online or contact Jill Gardner consultant # 008167 via email.

Cousin's Faye's Sweet Pickles--We cherish these little beauties and any other homemade treats you love to make.

Wine--We love a crisp Chardonnay or other white wines

Nuts--Cashews, mixed nuts, smoked almonds, & peanuts are all welcomed here

Candles-Jar candles with floral, fruity, or vanilla scents

Outdoor life: Tikki torches or torch fuel, long burning fire logs, bug spray and candles, paper plates, placemats in cool tropical colors.

Wedding Help------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We have received all kinds of incredible gifts in the contest that will make this wedding special. There are still some expenses not covered and extra expenses at the current vendors. We would appreciate any contribution of your time, your talent, or your resources. :

Transportation & Lodging-The gorgeous Tradition Hall will be a sweet spot for the ceremony and reception but it is 50 miles from our home and the airport. If you have room and time to help transport out of town guests to the Hilton Garden Inn in Port St. Lucie or the Tradition Hall, please email for follow-up. Please consider staying overnight at the Hilton on Sunday after the wedding so you can party without worry too. If you want to contribute to the Hotel costs for the wedding party you can call them and ask for the manager. If you can help transport items to the ceremony and arrive early let us know.

Food- We finally booked a caterer on July 10th!  We anticipated having to do a self-catered event, but the Cafe Catering. will be able to do most everything. Lynn's volunteered to make our tropical rum punch. We are looking for a punch fountain for that, preferably with refrigeration.

Dresses-We received free dresses for the bridal party with the certificate, however, the alterations were not covered. We've been quoted $80.00 per dress by the store and that's a bit steep for us. (Can you say more than I paid for my Aug. 8th dress?) If you know a seamstress who is reasonable and fast or if you sew yourself we'd appreciate that.

Decor-The main decor will be the linens and the flowers, however, we will want help with the little touches. There are lots of items that need to be created or donated::
-programs --Annette volunteered
-Card box for gift table
-Just Married Sign for the Harley
-Door signs for Tradition Hall
-Table signs-we're naming every table for ease of buffet line and photographs
-Dressing room kits -Jill volunteered
-Punch Fountain or Jet Spray machine for punch
- Lemonade dispensers--Jill volunteered
-Crystals and beads on 20" twisted wire stems
-300 clear plastic plates about 6" round for appetizers and cake (we have foam, we'd just rather have plastic)
Again, just let me know if you feel the urge and we'll make sure we don't have duplicate efforts.

Henry and I just keep chuckling at all this and we are so grateful. Please don't think we are asking everyone to do all these things. We really want you to be there, and we really want your well wishes, all the rest is totally optional.

Charitable Donation-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Lancaster High School Marching Band--As mentioned on the Verchat Wedding page we doubt we would have ever been together the first time without the band. You can use the paypal link below for us to send a combined donation or send one directly to the band by mailing a check payable to Lancaster Band Boosters to this address:

Lancaster County Band Boosters

They are a 5013c nonprofit so your donations are tax deductible and you will get a receipt from them if you mail a check. Read more about this incredible music program that is thriving in a small rural county by clicking here.
