More Cutting, Coloring, and Pasting--Altered Book Journals
On Version One of Cutting, Coloring, and Pasting we covered a lot of ideas but not a lot of samples. These samples have additional details and ideas. Just click on any image to enlarge and scroll through as a slide show.
Instead of letting a blog be your journal--print your blog out and paste it in your journal.Glue post cards into your journal during prep time and write to yourself.Cut shaped areas out of your pages freehand with a craft knife. Include "signs of your times" In this case I have two chosen grand-daughters that cannot get enough of Monster High Dolls (TM)Envelopes are great for adding in pages you may have written while away from your journal. This envelope was made from a magazine page by a friend of mine.Doodle Dollie! These started summer of 2011. I love drawing them with Bic Mark-Its and giving them names.Coordinate your doodles with the papers you've already pasted in your journal. I had to draw the mermaid on this sea theme paper. This is why I love using books that already have lots of pictures and graphics--it's fun to alter them into something else.Take the art right off your work station and gule it in your journal.Test prints of digital photos on cheap paper or scraps of scrapbook paper that just won't work for a layout.
