The Stick Figure Art Doll Series

Simply put, stick figures are paper art dolls on a stick. They can be displayed in groups like flowers in a vase or as stand alone pieces in pencil jars, plants, or custom designed bases made from wood or clay.

While there are rarely original ideas anymore, to my knowledge, I am the creator of this concept. In 2005 I challenged myself to create one art doll per month in my stick figure series. Each doll is named and usually has a tongue in cheek story line to accompany her.

Five dolls were finished in 2005 before time constraints and the challenges of design team participation demanded my attention elsewhere. Finally in March 2009 I have returned to the stick figures collection as a part of Destination Heartfelt Art. Winnifred, the pig princess at left, is the most recent addition joining the collection in July 2011.

Playing with dolls never gets old for me. Feel free to contact me if you have questions, a stick figure of your own to show off, or interest in a workshop featuring these concepts.
