After a long break from scrapbooking I got back to working on the wedding book. A great scrapbook weekend in Vero Beach got me inspired again. These are all the pages completed, some were done in 2009 and most in 2010.

Behind the album

The wedding album slips back and forth from a tropical color scheme to dark romantic colors.

The ceremony colors were on the tropical side, but I love the elegance of the darker colors too.

I use two different paper packs as a spring board. The brights are from K & Company and the darker collection is from DCV.

I used lots of our decorations and ephmera throughout the book. Almost all photography is from the faboulous studios of Palm Beach Photography.

Folded Paper Magic

The last two layouts here are dedicated to our vows.
They are also my homage to these delightful double sided papers.

Several years ago I taught a great workshop on frames. Back then I glued two pages of print paper together to make cut and fold frames.

Thanks to the "miracle of modern technology" the cut and fold frames are WAY easier today. The glued papers were a little akward to use, but the double-sided papers allow for more intricate designs like this 10" by 11" version above.

Basic process. Determine the size opening required and score it onto your paper. Use a knife to cut an X from corner to corner givng you 4 triangle shapes that can then be folded back in a variety of ways to embellish the frame base.
