In February 2009 I embarked upon Destination Heartfelt Art. -- a process of reconnecting with why I do this and how I do it.
This gallery shows some recent and recently recovered mail art that captures the spirit and intention of this adventure.

Here's the latest Mail Art My Way that I created for my precious niece Katie. She's pregnant for the first time and I thought I'd send her some smiles and affection. I purchased a set of funny buttons from Wal-Mart and mailed them with a tag message about cherishing the moments while counting the days.
The tag front was "within reach" from a tag calendar I had designed, started, and then abandoned because I decided to do big photo calendars instead. The padded envelope was recovered in my great study overhaul of 2009 and was the perfect size for the tag and buttons. As always, you can click to enlarge the photos. 02.09
Bruce for Bridget
Buttons for the Moment for Katie
Bruce was one of the first things Bridget and I had in common back in 1981 and he has remained in hearts ever since. For her birthday in February 2009 I created this fun packaging for his CD single.
The netting came from the floral department at the craft store, the silver brad at top looks like a screw and the word brad at the bottom balanced it nicely. The stamped images were, once again, within reach from previous projects.
I bundled it up in a deocrated padded envelope for mailing.
Sweet but true tag design that was mailed with tiny baby bath towels to my grandson.
Ginger magnet
Nanette's mom has this adorable pooch who wears handmade clothing. I made this two peice magnet set and mailed it to her in early 2008. Many of the supplies were from my Spellbinder's design team stash. Although the die is Sizzix, I always get the best cut by using the Wizzard machine.
Tea Party in the Mail
My cherished friend Miss Betty invited me to a tea party celebrating her 55th birthday. Unfortunately, the location was 1200 miles away from my home. Never one to miss a celebration, (espeically one involving hats) I decided to create a fun package of tea party items to mail off to my friend. The only item not pictured is a tiny tea cup on a display stand.
