My 2009 adventures with digital scrapping began with hybrid projects and gradually moved to straight digital. I still have the best of intentions about adding hybrid elements to all my digital layouts because I love the dimension--but I haven't done much of it.
My favorite site for digi tools is Deisgner Digitals--they have great tutorials and let you purchase kits or individiual parts and peices. I hit a bonanza this spring when I got lots of new supplies free from an online bulletin board site having a contest. There are loads of great resources out there waiting for you to jump right in and design.

I turn to digital scrapping when there doesn't seem to be enough time to work traditionally or when I really want to email or print multiple copies. After 12+ years of traditional scrapping, it's fun to have the challenge. Novice is still the best description of my skills in this area, but learning is part of the fun, right?
I have a fabulous color photo printer that is over 12" wide, however, the ink refills for the darn thing cost enough to take out a second mortgage. I usually use our big industrial color ink jet printer to print my finished projects in 8" square format. I keep them all in a cute little album now and enjoy them that way.
