Art for the Sole: Create a way to stand firm in your artistic spirit when you convert plain exercise sandals to into one-of-a-kind wonders. We'll use collage techniques with stamps, paints, inks, clip art and more to make these moving art displays. Participants must bring their own sandals to class (oh rats, a reason to go shoe shopping *grin*).
Will yours look like this? Not unless you really want them to look like this and even then it's hard to recreate "happy accidents." Have you seen all the styles these sandals come in now? I'm working on a pair of fuschia pink 3" heels next! They are too fun!
The pair here, "Koko Steppi" are my more casual sole of art shoes. Look for them on my feet at workshops and programs. They began life as black patent leather Dr. Scholl's (TM) shoes in the traditional style.
You'll find the painted versions of these on sale for $125.00 in shops and they aren't even collaged or personalized!
