Photo Greetings
For Picture Perfect Cards!
Everyone loves a photo. With the ease and low cost of digital photography and copying, you can easily make one photo card or a batch.
In the photo gift card class participants learn to make a photo card with a pull off magnet (not pictured below) and an pocket card with a photo on a stand. Click the thumbnails for larger versions of sample cards.
As seen in Suite 101 online magazine--the easiest photo card to create follows a simple formula:
1. rectangular card front
2. photo at top layered onto patterned paper
3. quote or message stamp sticker at the bottom
These two cards follow the basic formula, but look very different because of the colors, papers, and word sticker versus stamped quote..
Both cards used photo prints leftover from scrapping that were cropped to fit a card.
Rember to continue the print paper on the inside as shown at below. Click to enlarge.
Use a similar formula or other layout design to make photo tags that can go on cards or other projects:
Same formula applied here to a square card.
Click thumbnail image at right to see this card used later on a scrapbook page
Photo corner punches add a nice touch to these cards too.
More tags that have strayed slightly from the formula--these are just as easy and fun to create. Tags work well for those photo scraps you may have too.
