Grab some double sided papers and a few tiny scrapsto have a grand time creating multiple greeting cards in just a few moments.Watch the video and use these easy guidelines to share the love of mail art.
Supplies:
12" square cardstock-weight double sided print paper
Cutting tool with ruler
Dry adhesive
deminsional adhesive like pop dots or double stick foam tape
Paper punch or die cut---the ones that have more than one shape on the same punch are easiest but you can combine two punches if you don't have that
Coordinating scraps
embossing tool or bone folder
1. Cut two peices from 12" paper that measure 8.5" by 5.5" ---these will be the base of your cards
2. Score cards at 4.25" for traditional fold, score top side again at 2 1/8" for accordian fold design (see video for demo)
3. Prepare front design--
A. Cut base matte
B. Cut smaller matte to go on top
C. Cut border if desired.
D. Punch your design from double sided paper
E. Use marker or ink pad to outline all edges of mattes and design
4. Use adhesives to apply design to card base
5. Write sentiment inside or leave blank for notes
6. Sign the back! All art should be signed.
