The Artist--Legacy Art Gallery
Legacy Art is my preferred term for scrapbooking. I think we do ourselves a disservice if we don't call it an art form. Years from now, your scrapbook pages and mine will be displayed in art museums, insured with extra riders on the policy in homes, and appreciated for the art and emotion that they represent. I chose to honor them now as they deserve.

Pine Cone Press Gallery of Designs- There's a wonderful company called Pine Cone Press that publishes a new idea book for legacy artists every month and markets the book with a kit as a club program to be taught  in retail stores. In my estimation, they've been doing this club for over two years and I heard ALOT about it here in South Florida but I never joined or bought a book until.....January 2007--The kind folks at PCP invited me along with the rest of the Spellbinders' Design Team to hold a 3-day retreat in their classroom space in California. We had a fabulous time and I poured over products, books, samples, and managed to ship a bunch home too (grin).

After my visit, I started noticing more about PCP and was disheartened to see a thread on Two Peas that said many were dissatisfied with their program. I feel sorry for those people, because I suspect their experience had far more to do with the leadership of their club than with Pine Cone Press products or service.

In March 2007 I finally joined a local "Not Your Ordinary Book Club" group led by the fabulous and talented Lynn Barwald. I'm so in love with what I've "discovered" that I've decided to devote a web gallery to the books, layouts, and ideas generated from this great program every month.
