Norma Anne sells Legacy Art designed to your photos or simply an acid/lignin free artistic base to which you may add your own photos.  She also teaches periodically for private events, resorts, clubs, and stores..
These photos are samples from a class I developed. I still teach the techniques in class, but use different samples every time. Essentially, you get a great photo and make a large frame to showcase it. THEN you create the rest of your layout. With the popularity of white space these days, the frame is often all you need.

Try this technique when you have just one photo from an event, when you want to go easy on yourself with layout design, and just because it's fun!

I call this a cut and bloom frame or a peel back technique.
Simple color blocking with coordinated print papers and photo distressing make this look come together.
At left, it's difficult to see this is a roll up frame--cut three sides and roll up the center. This is also an anchored jounral fram because of the area at the bottom.
