Shoe Box Party!
My friend Mel invited me to a Shoe Box Party in August. It's such a clever simple concept that is fun for everyone involved. The premise is this: Invite 8 friends over and ask them to bring one completed project (something folks can finish in an hour or less) and enough materials to complete 8 more in a shoe box. At the beginning of our party each guest stood up and introduced their projects and materials. Once we'd seen everyone's box contents we proceeded to just pass them around and make things.
Our party featured covered candy bars, decorated tiles, Formica tags, an interactive card (from me), scented flower pens, and a covered journal. I can't wait to do this again!
Here's the journal I made from Pattie Fulton's shoe box. She included calendar pages from a $1.00 calendar, stamps, inks, and die cuts in her box. I added the glitter and letter stickers when I got home because I just couldn't resist. The back is covered as well, but there's no real embellishing.
