Use broad strokes of pastel color to add stress-free color
Angel stamped, chalked, and trimmed to pop on a tag. Image swiped, bit of highlighting, matted and embellished--Poof, it's a card :)Switched up the wing color to lavender for a different lookOne of my neices is having twins so I did the angel duo for her card...Same techniques went faster because this stamp was smallerSame technique with dogwood flowers--flower stamps are wonderful chalked for springTag with dogwood flowers done in white. I diecut the small flower from copper mesh and the large flower from old dictionary paper.Magnolia collage stamp chalked--this one did not delight me as much as the others. I suggest sticking to more lined stamps for this color swiping technique. This is a card made from the solo tag shown previously. Tags are fun to make and keep until you decide whether to put them on a scrapbook page, journal entry, card, gift bag, magnet...you get the idea.

Chalks add a subtle wash of color. I like them best with either detailed image stamps or collage stamps. Reach for them when you want to create cards for new babies, express sympathy, or send thoughtful thank you notes.
